Tansen Izakaya is one of YEG's NEWest Japanese Izakaya restaurants! It is conveniently located on 82 Ave between University of Alberta and busy part of Whyte ave! The restaurant recently opened and serves many kinds of sushi, cooked dishes and drinks!
To Start we ordered their specialty Smoked Duck Pressed Sushi with Jalapeno peppers!
Hot Stone Lamb Rack grill with Curry, Mint and house special sauce!
We also ordered some Fresh assorted Sashimi includes Salmon, Tuna, Hamachi and Scallops!
Super Sweet Japanese Hokkaido Uni Nigiri!
Shake Shake Fries as comfort food!
We also got Kimchi Sashimi Salad and Shark Fin Jelly Fish as appys! The 2 appys were very well seasoned, especially the Kimchi Sashimi, perfect amount of sauce was used which balanced out the sweet, savoury and spicy levels of the Kimchi!
As for Dessert we got some Ice Cream Taiyaki!
